BEAR HUNTING DESCRIPTION:

Time of Year:
Early May to ensure quality hides.

Hunting Days:
Monday to Saturday. There is no Sunday hunting in Saskatchewan.

Arrival:
Hunters arrive in camp Sunday afternoon. Airport pickup in Saskatoon can be arranged or rental vehicles are available at the Saskatoon airport. A range is available at the lodge for sighting in rifles before the hunt. 3d bear target is also available for archers.

The Hunt:
Hunters leave the lodge around 3pm. and travel with their guides to their stands. All bear stands are 15' ladder stands over regularly baited sites.

Clients hunt an average of 5 hours with sunset being approximately at 9pm. Your guide will pick you up at your tree stand after dark and return you to the lodge.

Hunters are supplied with a VHF radio for contact with their guide.

Meals:
Breakfast, a noon meal and a late night supper are served at the lodge.

Clothing:
Muzzleloader hunters and archers can wear camo clothing. Rifle hunters require colored outer suit and hat - preferably red. We have these suits available upon request.

It is good to have a supply of warm clothing as evening temperatures can at this time of year dip below freezing.
